We took a 1 hour tour with Tristan Daniels as our guide. We ended up wishing we had booked a longer tour and we will certainly come back and request him again. Not only is he very knowledgeable about the history of the Everglades, but he was able to find quite a bit of wildlife for us to enjoy, including dolphins who followed our boat for a bit. We had a beautiful trip on the water and I highly recommend Tristan and Smallwood Boat Tours.
Eco-friendly Everglades Day Tour
Our Everglades Eco Tour is perfect for nature-lovers and history buffs! We’ll go out and explore the famous Everglades wildlife, learning about the history and how everything came to be the way it is today. The tour is very flexible and we are happy to cater to any requests you may have regarding seeing certain types of animals. With our local expertise, we are able to provide a boat tour unlike any other, with special attention to spending more time doing things you love. We can spend time with dolphins in the Everglades, take a quick hike on a Calusa Indian Shell Mound, bird watch, or just relax on a beach for an hour or so – the choice is yours! You also get to choose the length of your tour experience, but just remember the longer you go, the more you will see!

About your guide
All of our guides have local knowledge because their families have been here for generations. The Ten Thousand Islands are a very difficult place to navigate so being in the hands of a Captain that has run these waters for their entire life gives them the ability to take you to places most other guides cannot.

Why Customers Love Our Tours
This ecotour included bird watching and brief tour of formerly occupied island (by the tour guides family). Our guide was very informative and sunset was just lovely.
We had such an amazing boat tour from the Smallwood Store with Captain Gary. I highly recommend it. Our kids who are almost 7 and 9 loved it! We did a 2 hour tour and it was incredible. Dolphins, all kinds of birds, amazing island sightseeing, and travelled through small passages in the mangroves. Really incredible!
